Is it me? or the prices in the supermarket now days are just simply ridiculous. I went food shopping on Sunday morning to Pathmark and I almost had a heart attack when I saw the price for the mozarella cheese $6.39 each. I had no choice but to buy it because I was making a lasagna, because I was having family over for dinner.
Something else that is ridiculously overpriced is the rice. I come from a Cuban background, so we have to have rice, and my husband and kids are the same way. The price for a 20lb. bag was $18.99. I remember 3 years ago that I bought not 1 but 4 - 20lb. bags for $20.00 on sale, regular price was abt $6.50.
